Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) reported its highest-ever monthly sales in July 2026, with total sales of 1,42,985 units, up 26% year-on-year from 1,13,600 units in July 2025. This is a wholesale figure, what SMIPL dispatched to its dealer network and export partners, not a retail registration number, and it marks a genuine milestone month for the brand rather than routine growth.

Wholesale: A Record Month, Domestic-Led

Domestic sales were the primary driver, hitting a record 1,23,216 units in July, up 28% YoY from 96,029 units in July 2025. Exports grew more modestly, up 13% YoY to 19,769 units from 17,571 units a year earlier. The gap between domestic growth (28%) and export growth (13%) tells a fairly clear story: this month’s record was built almost entirely on Indian demand, not overseas shipments.

Against June 2026, when SMIPL sold 1,15,030 total units (91,264 domestic, 23,766 export), July’s total represents roughly 24.3% month-on-month growth, with domestic sales up close to 35% MoM. Exports, by contrast, actually eased slightly from June’s 23,766 units to July’s 19,769 units, a sequential decline of around 16.8%. So while the headline record is real, it’s worth noting it’s a domestic-demand story specifically, with the export side pulling back a little even as it stayed up YoY.

What’s Behind the Growth

SMIPL didn’t attribute July’s jump to a single new launch. Vice President for Sales & Marketing Deepak Mutreja, commenting on the prior month’s performance, pointed to sustained demand momentum and continued customer trust in the brand, language consistent with a broad-based volume gain across the existing Access and Burgman scooter range rather than a single model driving the number.

The company’s spare parts business also had a record month, with revenue touching an all-time high of ₹102.9 crore in July 2026, up 23% YoY. A record parts month alongside a record sales month is a reasonable signal of a growing installed base of Suzuki two-wheelers on Indian roads needing regular servicing, on top of new unit sales.

On the product side, Suzuki also unveiled the 2027 Hayabusa in July with new colour options, Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Reflective Blue for the standard version, and a Pearl Brilliant White and Metallic Oort Gray dual-tone for a special edition. The Hayabusa remains a low-volume halo product for Suzuki in India, having sold 543 units in FY26 with 6% YoY growth, but it plays a brand-building role that’s disproportionate to its unit contribution.
