Suzuki Hayabusa Sales in India Hit Record High in FY2026 at 543 Units

India’s premium motorcycle segment continues to grow, and the iconic Suzuki Hayabusa has once again proven its dominance. The superbike recorded its highest-ever annual sales in India, reaching 543 units in FY2026.

This marks a steady increase compared to the previous year, reflecting consistent demand in a niche yet highly aspirational segment. Despite being a premium offering, the Hayabusa continues to attract buyers who value performance, legacy, and brand identity.

The model remains the top-selling motorcycle in the 1000cc–1600cc segment, holding a significant share of the category. Its strong performance highlights how even a limited-volume segment can show stable growth when supported by a loyal customer base.

However, the sales trend during the year was not uniform. The first half saw strong momentum with higher dispatches, while the second half experienced a slowdown. This dip was largely influenced by a price increase, which impacted affordability and buying decisions in the premium segment.

Even with this challenge, the Suzuki Hayabusa maintained its leadership position, underlining its strong brand recall and enduring appeal among enthusiasts.

The current-generation Hayabusa continues to build on its legacy with a powerful 1340cc inline four-cylinder engine, delivering a combination of speed, refinement, and advanced technology. It is widely recognized not just for performance but also for its distinctive design and global reputation.

Over the years, the Hayabusa has established itself as more than just a motorcycle in India—it is a symbol of high-performance motorcycling. Its consistent demand reflects the growing interest in premium and lifestyle-oriented two-wheelers.

The broader superbike segment in India is also witnessing gradual expansion. While volumes remain relatively small compared to mass-market motorcycles, rising disposable incomes and evolving consumer preferences are driving demand for high-capacity bikes.

Looking ahead, the outlook for premium motorcycles like the Suzuki Hayabusa remains stable. However, pricing, taxation, and economic factors will continue to influence sales trends in this segment.

In summary, the record-breaking performance of the Suzuki Hayabusa in FY2026 highlights its enduring popularity and leadership in India’s superbike market. Despite pricing pressures, it continues to dominate its segment and reinforce its iconic status.
