Top 10 Best-Selling Scooters in India July 2026

India's top 10 scooters moved 6,87,279 units in July 2026, up 20.4% year-on-year, with Honda Activa holding the top spot despite a 13% decline, and two electric models, the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak, breaking into the top five for the first time on the strength of triple-digit growth.

Honda Activa remained India’s best-selling scooter in July 2026 with dispatches of 2,06,170 units, even as sales fell 13.16% from 2,37,413 units a year earlier, according to SIAM-pattern monthly dispatch data reported by manufacturers. The bigger story in this month’s rankings, though, is what happened below Activa: TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak both posted triple-digit year-on-year growth to claim the fourth and fifth spots, marking the first time two fully electric scooters have broken into the top five of India’s monthly scooter charts together.

Honda Activa Retains the Top Spot Despite a Decline

The Activa was one of only two models in the top 10 to post a year-on-year decline this month, yet it still outsold second-placed TVS Jupiter by more than 57,000 units and accounted for roughly 30% of the combined top-10 volume on its own. A double-digit decline at the segment leader alongside continued overall category growth points to share loss rather than a shrinking scooter market: the category as a whole grew 20.4% in July, meaning rivals are taking share from Honda’s franchise rather than the pie itself getting smaller.

TVS Jupiter and Suzuki Access Round Out the Podium

TVS Jupiter posted a solid 19% year-on-year gain to 1,48,595 units, continuing to close the absolute gap with Activa even as both remain conventional 110cc/125cc petrol scooters competing on the same reliability-and-resale-value proposition. Suzuki Access grew slightly faster at 21%, reaching 82,505 units and holding its position as the highest-ranked Suzuki model and the third-best-selling petrol scooter in the country.

Electric Scooters Break Into the Top Five

The TVS iQube’s climb to fourth place, on dispatches of 59,386 units against 23,029 a year earlier, is the single most significant shift in this month’s rankings. Notably, that dispatch figure runs ahead of the 55,477 units TechyTrends.in’s July 2026 Wholesale vs Retail Analysis recorded as actually registered for the iQube at RTOs during the same month, a gap of roughly 3,900 units consistent with the broader dealer-stocking pattern already flagged across TVS Motor’s EV lineup this cycle.

Bajaj Chetak’s growth was the steepest of any model in the top 10, more than quadrupling from 11,584 units a year ago to 47,184 units in July 2026. That trajectory also lines up with the wholesale-retail overhang already identified for Bajaj’s EV business this month, where dispatches of 45,592 units ran ahead of the 43,607 units registered at RTOs.

Ather Rizta rounded out the electric contingent at ninth place, more than doubling year-on-year to 24,833 units. Between the three EV models, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Ather Rizta together contributed 1,31,403 units to the top 10’s total, or roughly 19% of combined volume, a share that would have been unthinkable in this ranking as recently as a year or two ago.

TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak electric scooters, the two fastest-growing models in India's July 2026 top 10 scooter ranking.

Ntorq, Burgman, Dio, Rizta, RayZR

TVS Ntorq grew a healthy 46% to 38,336 units, and Suzuki Burgman added 29% to reach 30,607 units. Honda Dio was the segment’s other decliner, slipping 7.3% to 25,903 units, a smaller drop than Activa’s but still notable given Honda’s otherwise strong position at the top of the chart. Yamaha RayZR closed out the list with 44.7% growth to 23,760 units, its best July performance in recent years.
