Maruti Brezza 2026 Ventilated Seats & Comfort Features Explained

The 2026 Brezza facelift adds ventilated seats and a longer comfort feature list, but not every trim gets the same treatment.

Rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Skoda Kylaq and Kia Syros have offered ventilated seats for a while now. The Brezza hadn’t, and it was one of the more noticeable gaps in an otherwise well-equipped SUV. That changes with the 2026 facelift, which finally brings front ventilated seats into the mix, along with a longer list of comfort upgrades spread across the cabin. The catch is that Maruti hasn’t made ventilated seats a range-wide feature. Here’s exactly what you get, and where you have to spend to get it.

Ventilated Seats: ZXi+ Only

Front ventilated seats are exclusive to the range-topping ZXi+ trim. If cooled seats are a must-have for you, particularly relevant if you’re parking in the sun through an Indian summer and don’t want to wait for the AC to catch up, the ZXi+ is the only Brezza variant that gets you there. There’s no option to add it as a standalone accessory on lower trims, and Maruti hasn’t offered it even as part of the turbo-petrol’s feature set on ZXi.

This mirrors how most manufacturers treat ventilated seats in this segment: as a genuine top-trim differentiator rather than something bundled lower down. If you’re cross-shopping the Kia Syros or Skoda Kylaq specifically for this feature, know that the Brezza only matches them at its most expensive configuration.

What Else the ZXi+ Adds for Comfort

Ventilated seats aren’t the only thing reserved for the top trim. The ZXi+ also picks up:

  • Leatherette seat upholstery (lower variants stick with fabric)
  • Winged rear headrests, genuinely useful on long highway stretches where passengers tend to nod off
  • A cooled glovebox
  • 64-colour ambient lighting with strips along the door pads
  • A heads-up display
  • Rear USB Type-C fast-charging ports
  • 6-speaker ARKAMYS Surround Sense audio
  • Auto-folding, auto-dimming ORVMs

Taken together, the ZXi+ cabin genuinely feels like a step up rather than the same interior with a sticker’s worth of extra badges.

Comfort Features Across the Lower Variants

You don’t need to go all the way to ZXi+ to get a reasonably well-equipped cabin. Here’s roughly how comfort kit spreads across the range:

Even at LXi, you still get the essentials that make daily driving comfortable, height and reach adjustment, decent ergonomics, and a usable driving position. What you’re paying for as you move up isn’t basic comfort so much as convenience and a more premium feel.

Is the ZXi Trim Worth Considering Instead?

For a lot of buyers, the ZXi variant is genuinely the sweet spot. You get the electric sunroof, wireless charging, front centre armrest and rear AC vents without stretching to the ZXi+ price point. What you give up is ventilated seats, the bigger 10.1-inch screen, leatherette upholstery, and the heads-up display. If those specific items don’t matter much to your daily use, the ZXi covers most of what actually makes a cabin comfortable day to day.

Where the ZXi+ earns its premium is less about basic comfort and more about the experience layer: cooled seats on a 40-degree Delhi afternoon, a properly premium-feeling cabin material, and the small conveniences (fast-charging ports, auto-folding mirrors) that add up over years of ownership rather than showing up on a test drive.

Real-World Note on Ventilated Seats in Indian Conditions

Ventilated seats work by drawing cabin air through perforations in the seat fabric using a small fan, which helps evaporate sweat rather than actually cooling the seat surface directly. In genuinely hot, humid conditions, the effect is noticeable but not dramatic, it takes the edge off a sun-baked seat faster than the AC alone would, rather than making the seat feel cold. It’s most useful in the first few minutes after getting into a parked car, and during stop-start traffic where the AC struggles to keep pace.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the base Brezza LXi variant get ventilated seats?

No. Ventilated seats are exclusive to the ZXi+ trim across the entire 2026 Brezza range, regardless of which engine or transmission you pick.

Can you get ventilated seats with the turbo-petrol engine?

Yes, as long as you choose the ZXi+ variant. The feature is tied to the trim level, not the engine, so it’s available whether you pick the 1.5-litre petrol automatic or the 1.0-litre turbo manual on ZXi+.

Does the Brezza facelift get rear ventilated seats?

No. Ventilation is offered only for the front seats, which is standard practice across this segment.

Is leatherette upholstery available below ZXi+?

No. LXi, VXi and ZXi all continue with fabric seat upholstery. Leatherette is exclusive to the top ZXi+ trim.
