The Tata Sierra EV comes in seven monotone colours: Pristine White, Coorg Clouds, Pure Grey, Andaman Adventure, Bengal Rouge, Rishikesh Rapids, and Nainital Nocturne. Not every shade is available on every variant, and two of the seven, Rishikesh Rapids and Nainital Nocturne, are exclusive to the Sierra EV and don’t appear on the petrol or diesel Sierra’s colour chart at all.

The Full Colour List

Here’s the complete palette, along with what each shade actually looks like on the SUV rather than just its marketing name.

Colour NameDescriptionShared with ICE Sierra?
Pristine WhiteClean, neutral whiteYes
Coorg CloudsLight silver-greyYes
Pure GreyMuted mid-tone greyYes
Andaman AdventureBold yellowYes
Bengal RougeDeep redYes
Rishikesh RapidsBlue shade, EV-exclusiveNo
Nainital NocturneDark shade, EV-exclusive, QWD onlyNo

Notably, none of the seven colours are offered as a dual-tone paint job. Every option here is a single, monotone body colour, which is a slight departure from how some rivals in the segment split their exterior colour into contrasting roof and body shades. That said, the Sierra EV does get a genuinely two-tone treatment elsewhere on the body, a black-finished roof and pillar section on most colours, along with dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels, so the car doesn’t read as flat or single-colour even without an actual dual-tone paint option.

Which Colours Come With Which Variant

Colour availability on the Sierra EV isn’t uniform across the lineup. Tata has structured it so the entry-level trim gets a smaller, more conservative palette, and the newer, more distinctive shades unlock as you move up the variant ladder.

The base Pure variant is offered in just three colours: Coorg Clouds, Pure Grey, and Pristine White. All three are safe, easy-to-maintain neutrals, which fits the Pure trim’s positioning as the value-focused entry point into the range.

Move up to the Adventure variant and the palette expands to include Andaman Adventure and Bengal Rouge, giving buyers at this level access to a proper bold yellow and a deep red for the first time. The top-spec Empowered trim then adds Rishikesh Rapids, the new blue shade exclusive to the EV. Nainital Nocturne, the darkest and most distinctive of the seven, is reserved specifically for the QWD (all-wheel-drive) variant, meaning it’s tied to the top of the powertrain hierarchy rather than just the top of the feature hierarchy.

Why Two Colours Are EV-Exclusive

Rishikesh Rapids and Nainital Nocturne being unique to the Sierra EV isn’t just a marketing gimmick to differentiate the electric model on a showroom floor, it’s a fairly common practice among manufacturers introducing an EV variant of an existing nameplate. Giving the electric version one or two shades the combustion model doesn’t get helps a buyer, and anyone glancing at the car on the street, identify it as the EV at a glance, on top of the more obvious cues like the blanked-off grille, the Tata.ev badging on the front doors, and the charging port on the left rear fender.

Practical Advice on Picking a Colour

Lighter shades like Pristine White, Coorg Clouds, and Pure Grey tend to hide minor scratches and swirl marks better over years of ownership than darker paints, and they also stay noticeably cooler under direct sun, which matters through an Indian summer parked outdoors without covered parking. Darker or more distinctive colours like Nainital Nocturne look sharper in photos and in person, but they show dust, water spots, and fine scratches more readily, and tend to run slightly warmer to the touch after hours in direct sunlight.

Resale value is also worth a passing thought. Neutral colours generally hold broader buyer appeal in the used market, while a distinctive shade like Rishikesh Rapids or Nainital Nocturne might take marginally longer to find the right second buyer, even if it’s the more eye-catching choice new.
