Suzuki has refreshed the Burgman scooter lineup with new variants and updated pricing, but for many buyers, this also creates confusion. More options sound good on paper, but choosing the right variant becomes harder when differences are not very clear.

With prices now ranging roughly from ₹1.02 lakh to ₹1.13 lakh (ex-showroom), and the EX variant continuing at around ₹1.08 lakh, the Burgman lineup is trying to cover a wide range of buyers.

The Base Variant: Simple and Practical

The standard Burgman is the most affordable option in the lineup. It focuses on the basics comfortable seating, decent storage, and smooth engine performance.

For buyers who want a stylish scooter without spending too much, this variant does the job. It uses the same 124cc engine that produces around 8.3 bhp and 10.2 Nm torque, which is more than enough for daily city rides.

Ride Connect Variant: Adding Everyday Convenience

The Ride Connect version adds smart features like mobile connectivity, navigation, and alerts. These may not seem essential at first, but they improve everyday usability.

For someone who uses their scooter regularly for commuting, these small additions can make a noticeable difference. The price increase over the base variant is not very high, which makes this version a balanced choice.

EX Variant: Premium Feel Without Big Changes

The Burgman Street EX sits at the top of the lineup and is priced around ₹1.08 lakh (ex-showroom). It is positioned as a more premium option, but the changes are not drastic. It continues with the same engine but adds refinements like smoother performance and a slightly more premium feel.

For buyers who want the best version available without worrying too much about price, the EX makes sense. But for many, the difference may not feel big enough to justify the extra cost.

Why Suzuki Is Expanding Variants Now

Suzuki’s strategy is quite clear. Instead of launching a completely new scooter, the company is expanding the existing lineup to attract different types of buyers.

This allows Suzuki to stay competitive in the 125cc segment, where customers have multiple choices. By offering multiple variants, the brand ensures that there is something for everyone—from budget buyers to those looking for premium features.
