Studds Accessories Ltd to Invest ₹150 Crore in New Faridabad Plant

Studds Accessories Ltd is set to invest around ₹150 crore in a new manufacturing facility in Faridabad, marking a significant expansion of its production capabilities. The upcoming plant will be the company’s fifth unit and is expected to increase its total annual production capacity to approximately 12 million units.

The expansion comes at a time when the company’s existing plants are operating at high utilisation levels, indicating strong demand for helmets and related safety products in both domestic and international markets. With current capacity nearing saturation, the new facility is aimed at supporting continued growth and meeting rising demand.

The project will be implemented in phases. The first phase is expected to add around 1.5 million units of capacity, with further expansion planned in subsequent stages. Once fully operational, the plant will contribute an additional 3 million units annually, significantly strengthening the company’s manufacturing output.

The investment will also focus on incorporating advanced manufacturing technologies and automation to improve efficiency and maintain consistent product quality. However, certain stages of production will continue to involve manual processes due to the specific requirements of helmet manufacturing.

Studds has a strong presence in global markets, exporting its products to over 70 countries. The new facility is expected to support both domestic demand and export growth, providing flexibility to cater to varying market conditions.

The expansion aligns with increasing awareness around road safety and the growing demand for protective gear, particularly in the two-wheeler segment. It also positions the company to better serve original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket customers.

With this investment, Studds is reinforcing its manufacturing base in India while preparing for future growth opportunities. The addition of the fifth plant is expected to play a key role in sustaining its leadership position in the helmet industry and expanding its global footprint.
