Royal Enfield Sales Report July 2026

Royal Enfield dispatched 1,18,232 motorcycles in July 2026, up 34% year-on-year, with domestic sales crossing the one-lakh mark for a second straight month, as the company's first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, continues to build retail presence in Bengaluru.

Royal Enfield dispatched 1,18,232 motorcycles in July 2026, up 34.3% year-on-year from 88,045 units in July 2025, the company said in a statement dated August 1, 2026. This is a wholesale dispatch figure, what Royal Enfield shipped to its dealer network, not a retail registration number. Domestic sales did most of the work: 1,05,317 units, up 38.1% YoY from 76,254 units, crossing the one-lakh mark for a second consecutive month. Exports came in at 12,915 units, up 9.5% YoY from 11,791 units, a more modest but still positive contribution.

That domestic-export split matters here. Royal Enfield’s growth story in July was overwhelmingly an Indian-demand story, not an export-led one, a contrast worth noting against some of its two-wheeler peers this same month.

Wholesale: Sub-350cc Still Carries the Volume

Royal Enfield’s sub-350cc motorcycles, its Classic, Hunter, Meteor, and Bullet range, accounted for 1,05,048 units in July, up 38.1% YoY from 76,047 units. Motorcycles above 350cc, covering the Himalayan 450, Guerrilla 450, Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and Shotgun 650, contributed 13,184 units, up a slower 9.9% YoY.

The two growth rates tell a clear story: Royal Enfield’s July surge was driven almost entirely by its mid-size, sub-350cc portfolio, the segment where it has historically had the least direct competition, rather than by its newer premium 650cc twins, which grew but at a noticeably slower pace. On a month-on-month basis, total sales rose 3.7% over June 2026’s 1,14,032 units.

Quarterly Context: A Record Q1 FY27

July’s numbers follow Royal Enfield’s highest-ever quarterly sales in Q1 FY27 (April-June 2026), when the company dispatched 3,32,940 motorcycles, up 27% YoY from 2,61,326 units. For the four-month April-July FY27 period, cumulative dispatches stand at 4,48,659 units, up 26.9% YoY from 3,53,573 units, with domestic sales up 33.3% to 4,06,491 units. Exports for the same four-month period, by contrast, declined 13.1% to 42,168 units, meaning July’s positive export growth actually represents a sequential improvement rather than a continuation of the broader year-to-date export trend.

Flying Flea C6 and Other Developments

Royal Enfield’s Managing Director (Eicher Motors) and CEO, B. Govindarajan, described July as a strong month built on steady core-portfolio demand and an encouraging response to the Flying Flea C6, the company’s first electric motorcycle. Royal Enfield expanded Flying Flea’s retail and service presence in Bengaluru with ten new touchpoints, following the brand’s first Flying Flea showroom, which opened in Jayanagar in April 2026. The FF.C6 is priced at ₹2.79 lakh ex-showroom, with a lower upfront-cost option available at ₹1.99 lakh.

The company also completed its 22nd Himalayan Odyssey during the month, and a limited-edition Shotgun 650 x Rough Crafts variant reportedly sold out in India within three minutes of going on sale, a data point about demand intensity for limited editions rather than volume, but relevant context for the brand’s premium positioning. Separately, Eicher Motors’ board has approved an investment of ₹1,225 crore for Phase I of a new Greenfield manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, a capacity-expansion move that isn’t reflected in July’s sales numbers but explains the company’s confidence in sustaining current growth rates.
