Mahindra & Mahindra has officially launched the Thar Roxx Star Edition in India, expanding its five-door lifestyle SUV range with a new design-focused variant. The special edition was announced on January 23, 2026, and is priced at ₹16.85 lakh (ex-showroom). This launch is significant as it introduces a more premium-looking Thar Roxx without altering its mechanical setup.

The Thar Roxx Star Edition is based on the top-spec AX7L variant and focuses on cosmetic and comfort upgrades. Mahindra has positioned this edition for buyers who want a more distinctive and premium appearance while retaining the familiar performance and usability of the standard Roxx.

On the outside, the Star Edition features a darker visual theme. It gets a piano-black front grille, blacked-out alloy wheels, and subtle exterior accents that enhance its road presence. Mahindra has also introduced a new Citrine Yellow exterior colour with this edition, alongside existing colour options such as white, red, and black.

Inside the cabin, the Star Edition adopts an all-black interior theme. The SUV comes with leatherette upholstery with suede inserts, giving it a more upmarket feel. Feature highlights include ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and a surround-view camera system. The infotainment system continues with a large touchscreen display paired with a branded multi-speaker audio setup.

Mechanically, the Thar Roxx Star Edition remains unchanged. It continues to be offered with the same petrol and diesel engine options as the regular Thar Roxx. Transmission choices also remain the same, and this special edition is available only with a rear-wheel-drive configuration.

Mahindra has positioned the Star Edition as a lifestyle-oriented update rather than a performance-focused one. With rising demand for premium and distinctive SUVs, the Thar Roxx Star Edition adds an exclusive option within the Roxx lineup for buyers who prioritise design and comfort.
