January 2026 is shaping up as one of the busiest months for car launches and reveals in India’s automotive market, with a strong mix of facelifts, new SUVs, and electric vehicle debuts lined up across segments. According to industry calendars and recent reports, several major manufacturers are introducing refreshed models and EVs that will define the year’s early buying season.

Homegrown brand Tata Motors has rolled out the 2026 Punch facelift, the first comprehensive update for the compact SUV. The facelift brings a refreshed front fascia, modern LED lighting signatures, larger touchscreen infotainment and safety enhancements that aim to keep Tata’s entry-level SUV competitive in its class.

Alongside this, Toyota’s Urban Cruiser EV a rebadged electric SUV based on the same platform is also part of the January debut lineup, underscoring the mainstream shift toward electrification as well as collaborations between brands.
