The Isuzu V Cross has officially been launched in India, bringing important changes that make this lifestyle pickup more focused than before. Known for its rugged appeal and strong road presence, the V Cross has always attracted a audience of adventure lovers and utility focused buyers. With the latest update, Isuzu has made some bold decisions that reshape the lineup. Here are the top five things you should know about the new model.

4×2 Variants Are No Longer Available

One of the biggest updates for 2026 is the removal of the 4×2 variants. The Isuzu V Cross is now offered only with a 4×4 drivetrain across all trims. This clearly shows that the brand wants to position the V Cross as a serious off road lifestyle vehicle rather than just a practical pickup for city use.

Earlier, buyers who did not need four wheel drive could choose the more affordable 4×2 option. Now, every V Cross comes fully equipped for tougher terrains, making it more adventure ready straight from the showroom.

Starting Price is Rs 25.50 Lakh

The updated Isuzu V Cross starts at Rs 25.50 lakh ex showroom. Since only 4×4 versions are available, the entry price is naturally higher compared to older base variants.

Even at this price, the V Cross continues to appeal to buyers who want something different from regular SUVs. It offers the practicality of a pickup along with strong road presence and off road capability, which few vehicles in this segment can match.

Subtle but Noticeable Design Changes

At first glance, the 2026 model looks familiar, but there are small design refinements. The front grille has been revised to look bolder and more premium. The bumper design has also been slightly updated to give the pickup a cleaner appearance.

Some of the earlier heavy cladding elements have been toned down, which makes the overall design look more balanced. The alloy wheels have also been refreshed, adding to the muscular stance of the vehicle. While the changes are not dramatic, they help the V Cross stay visually fresh.

Bigger Touchscreen and More Features

Inside the cabin, the biggest highlight is the new 10.3 inch touchscreen infotainment system. The larger display improves the overall look of the dashboard and enhances user experience. It supports modern connectivity features that buyers now expect in this price range.

The 2026 V Cross also offers features like a 360 degree camera and tyre pressure monitoring system. These additions improve convenience and safety, especially for a large vehicle like a pickup truck. Higher variants also come with an upgraded sound system, adding a more premium feel to the cabin.

Trusted 1.9 Litre Diesel Engine Continues

Mechanically, the V Cross remains unchanged. It continues with the reliable 1.9 litre turbo diesel engine that produces around 161 bhp and 360 Nm of torque. This engine is well known for its durability and strong mid range performance.

Buyers can choose between a 6 speed manual and a 6 speed automatic transmission. With the standard 4×4 system and rear differential lock, the pickup remains highly capable on rough terrain as well as highways.
