BMW India has officially opened bookings for the new X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro in the Indian market. The booking window begins on January 30, marking the first step ahead of the SUV’s scheduled launch in mid-February. The new variant represents BMW’s latest update to its mid-size luxury SUV lineup and will be locally assembled at the company’s Chennai manufacturing facility.

The booking announcement is significant as the X3 remains one of BMW’s key volume drivers in India’s premium SUV segment. By introducing the 30 xDrive M Sport Pro, BMW is streamlining the lineup with a single, performance-focused trim that aligns with current buyer preferences for higher equipment levels and sportier styling. Local assembly is also expected to help BMW maintain competitive pricing and ensure steady supply.

In terms of exterior design, the BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro features a refreshed and more assertive look compared to the outgoing model. The SUV adopts BMW’s latest design language with a redesigned kidney grille, updated LED headlamps and tail-lamps, and more sculpted body surfaces. The M Sport Pro package adds sport-oriented styling elements that enhance the vehicle’s road presence while retaining its premium appeal.

Under the hood, the new X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This powertrain is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The setup is aimed at delivering a balance of performance, refinement and efficiency, while also offering improved traction and stability across varied driving conditions commonly encountered in India.

BMW is expected to position the X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro as a fully loaded offering. While the complete feature list will be announced at launch, the SUV is likely to include a digitally focused cabin with a curved display layout, advanced infotainment features, connected car technology and a comprehensive suite of safety and driver assistance systems. The interior is also expected to reflect BMW’s latest design approach with improved material quality and a more modern layout.

The introduction of this new X3 variant comes at a time when competition in the luxury mid-size SUV segment is intensifying. The BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro will rival established players such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and Volvo XC60. With updated styling, a mild-hybrid petrol powertrain and local assembly, BMW aims to strengthen its position against these competitors.

Bookings for the BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro can be made through authorised BMW dealerships across India starting January 30. Pricing, detailed specifications and delivery timelines are expected to be officially announced closer to the launch date. With bookings now open, BMW is setting the stage for one of its key luxury SUV introductions for the Indian market in 2026.
