Mahindra has turned August 15 into an unofficial product calendar over the last few years, and 2026 looks set to continue that streak. Industry reports point to three SUVs converging on the same reveal window this Independence Day: a facelifted Scorpio N, an updated BE 6, and the production-spec Vision S. Not everything on this list carries an official stamp from Mahindra yet, so here’s a clear-eyed look at what’s actually confirmed versus what’s still running on strong industry expectation.
Scorpio N Facelift: sunroof, screens, and not much else outside
The Scorpio N facelift is widely expected to arrive on August 14 or 15, 2026, though Mahindra hasn’t put out an official date yet. Spy shots suggest the exterior stays close to the current SUV, with a revised grille, new alloy wheels, and tweaked bumpers rather than a full redesign. The real story is inside the cabin. The facelift is expected to finally bring a panoramic sunroof, something buyers have been asking for since the Scorpio N launched, along with a floating 10.25-inch touchscreen and a dashboard layout that leans on cues from the Thar Roxx. Reports also point to a 360-degree camera making it onto the features list.
Mechanically, don’t expect surprises. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines are tipped to carry over unchanged, paired with the existing 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options, and rear-wheel drive with optional 4WD on the diesel. Pricing hasn’t been confirmed either, though some reports peg a starting figure somewhere above the current Rs 13.49 lakh base. Until Mahindra puts out an official number, treat that as a rough expectation, not a quote.
BE 6 gets a third screen, and Mahindra has confirmed part of it
The BE 6 update is the one piece of this puzzle Mahindra has actually put its name to, at least partially. The company has teased a new BE 6 SPORTEQ variant confirmed for a full debut on August 15, and the teaser already shows the headline change: a full-width triple-screen dashboard, with the passenger getting a dedicated display alongside the driver’s cluster and central touchscreen. It’s the same three-screen layout already seen on the XEV 9e and XEV 9S, and it puts the BE 6 on more even footing with rivals like the Tata Sierra EV, which already ships with a similar setup.

Beyond the SPORTEQ variant, broader reports suggest the wider BE 6 lineup could pick up the triple-screen treatment too, along with a fresh black-and-tan cabin theme replacing the current black-and-grey look. This is expected to be a model-year update rather than a full facelift, so the powertrain should carry over as is: the 59kWh and 79kWh LFP battery packs, using BYD’s blade cell technology, with outputs of 228bhp and 281bhp respectively, 380Nm of torque across both, and ARAI-claimed ranges of 556km and 682km. Mahindra says the 79kWh version does 0-100 kmph in 6.7 seconds. These numbers apply to the current BE 6 and are expected to hold for the updated version, since no powertrain changes have been reported.
Vision S: the concept that’s about to become real
The most significant reveal of the day, if it happens as expected, is the production version of the Vision S. This sub-4-metre SUV would be the first model built on Mahindra’s new NU_IQ architecture, the same platform the company showed off at last year’s “Freedom NU” event in Mumbai alongside three other concepts. Spy shots suggest the production car stays close to the concept’s tall, boxy stance, with flared wheel arches, a flatter roofline, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. It’s being positioned as a lifestyle SUV aimed at upcoming rivals like the Renault Bridger and Tata Scarlet, and some reports suggest it could carry the Scorpio Sport name.
Mahindra hasn’t officially confirmed the Vision S reveal date, engine lineup, or pricing. Given the platform’s significance, though, its appearance at the same event as two familiar nameplates would tell you a fair bit about how central this new architecture is to Mahindra’s next few years.
