Avore Electric Motorcycle: What to Expect Ahead of Tomorrow’s India Launch

Ahmedabad-based Avore Electric, the new EV brand from Samarth E-Mobility, launches its debut motorcycle in India tomorrow. Here's a look at what's confirmed on specs and design, and what's still guesswork on pricing.

Samarth E-Mobility’s new electric motorcycle brand, Avore Electric, launches its first product in India tomorrow, July 28. The Ahmedabad-based company confirmed the date after unveiling the Avore brand back on June 2, and the run-up has included a steady trickle of teasers rather than a full specs dump, so here’s what’s actually locked in versus what’s still an educated guess.

The company behind it

Avore Electric isn’t a badge-engineered import or a rebadge of someone else’s EV platform. It comes from Samarth E-Mobility, which says it’s spent three years building an in-house technology stack covering the battery management system, the motor, the motor controller, and even the onboard fast charger. The company claims over 110 IP filings, which is a fairly aggressive number for a debut brand and suggests they’re not just assembling off-the-shelf components. Whether that engineering depth translates into a genuinely reliable ownership experience is something only real-world usage will answer, not a launch-day presentation.

The target segment is 125cc-200cc motorcycles, the space currently dominated by petrol commuters and lifestyle bikes. That’s a deliberate choice. Most electric two-wheeler brands in India have gone after the scooter buyer. Avore is chasing the motorcycle buyer instead, going up against names like Oben Rorr Evo, Revolt RV400, and Tork Kratos R rather than the usual scooter crowd.

What’s confirmed on the powertrain

The company has confirmed a 5 kWh battery pack paired with a 10.5 kW electric motor, which works out to roughly 14.2 PS, broadly in line with what a 150cc petrol motorcycle puts out. The motor is also reportedly rare-earth-free, and the battery carries an IP67 rating, so dust and water resistance shouldn’t be a concern for daily use, including monsoon riding.

Range hasn’t been officially stated. Based on the battery size, riders can reasonably expect something in the 120 km ballpark, but treat that as an estimate until Avore puts out a certified figure at the launch event.

Design and hardware

Teaser images point to a sporty naked motorcycle rather than a commuter-styled EV. There’s a sharp LED headlamp up front, T-shaped LED tail lamps at the back, and what looks like a split seat with a large digital instrument cluster. Suspension duties are expected to go to a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, a familiar setup for anyone coming from a petrol motorcycle. Braking is likely to be handled by disc brakes at both ends, with single-channel ABS. Wheels are expected to be 17-inch alloys front and rear.

None of this is unusual hardware for the segment. What stands out is the packaging around it: AI-based functions and connected features are expected to be part of the pitch, building on the “Intelligence Beyond Motion” positioning the brand used at its June unveiling.

Pricing: the real unknown

Avore hasn’t announced a price yet, and that’s the one number that will decide whether this bike actually gets traction. A new brand with no dealer network history and no resale track record needs to be priced aggressively to pull buyers away from established names. Market estimates have floated figures around ₹1.5 lakh, but these are unofficial projections, not company guidance, so don’t lock in a number until it’s announced tomorrow.

What to watch at launch

Three things will matter more than the spec sheet itself: the certified range figure, the actual on-road price, and the initial delivery timeline. A motorcycle with strong numbers on paper still needs bookings to open and units to actually reach dealerships before it means anything for a buyer weighing it against a Revolt RV400 or an Oben Rorr Evo. TechyTrends will have the full breakdown once Avore takes the wraps off tomorrow.
