Yamaha Neo’s Electric Scooter

Yamaha is also planning to expand its electric scooter lineup in India with the Yamaha Neo’s. The scooter is already available in some international markets and is expected to arrive in India soon.

The Yamaha Neo’s features a lightweight design, compact dimensions, and a quiet electric motor that makes it ideal for city rides. It may also come with a removable lithium-ion battery, smartphone connectivity, and LED lighting, giving it a modern and premium feel.

Suzuki Burgman Electric

Suzuki is expected to launch the Burgman Electric, an electric version of the popular Burgman Street scooter. The Burgman Electric has already been spotted testing in India several times, indicating that the launch could happen soon.

The upcoming electric scooter is expected to retain the same maxi-scooter styling as the petrol version, along with a comfortable riding position and a spacious seat. It may offer a good riding range and smart features such as digital displays and connected technology, making it suitable for daily commuters.

Hero Xoom 160

Hero MotoCorp is also preparing to launch the Hero Xoom 160, a new premium scooter aimed at customers looking for a sporty design and higher performance. The scooter is expected to feature adventure-inspired styling, larger wheels, and a powerful engine compared to regular scooters.

The Xoom 160 could also include modern features such as LED lighting, digital instrumentation, and advanced braking systems. This model may target buyers who want a more stylish and powerful scooter for both city and highway use.

TVS Electric Scooter Updates

TVS is already a strong player in the electric scooter market with the TVS iQube, and the company is expected to introduce new variants and updates in 2026. These updates may include improved battery technology, longer riding range, and additional smart features.

As electric mobility continues to grow in India, TVS is likely to strengthen its EV lineup to compete with other major manufacturers entering the segment.

Growing Demand for Electric Scooters

The increasing number of scooter launches highlights the growing demand for electric mobility in India. Rising fuel prices, government incentives for electric vehicles, and improved charging infrastructure are encouraging more customers to consider electric scooters.

At the same time, manufacturers are also improving performance, safety features, and connectivity options to make scooters more appealing to younger buyers and urban commuters.
