Bajaj Auto Sales Rise 27% in February 2026

March 2, 2026

Bajaj Auto has reported a 27 percent year-on-year growth in total sales for February 2026, underlining sustained demand in both domestic and export markets. The company dispatched 4,48,259 units during the month compared with 3,52,071 units in February last year. The performance matters for India’s automobile sector as it signals continued strength in two-wheelers and commercial vehicles despite a competitive market environment.

Two-wheelers remained the core growth driver. Combined domestic and export motorcycle sales stood at 3,79,921 units in February 2026, reflecting a 27 percent increase over the same period last year. Domestic two-wheeler sales reached 1,86,164 units, while exports totalled 1,93,757 units. The export contribution highlights Bajaj Auto’s strong presence in overseas markets, particularly in Africa, Latin America and South Asia.

Commercial vehicles also posted healthy gains during the month. Total commercial vehicle sales rose 30 percent year-on-year to 68,338 units. Domestic commercial vehicle dispatches climbed to 46,417 units, while exports grew to 21,921 units. The growth in this segment indicates stable demand in the three-wheeler and small commercial vehicle categories, which are closely linked to urban mobility and last-mile connectivity.

Overall exports showed notable momentum. Total overseas shipments increased 28 percent to 2,15,678 units in February 2026, slightly outpacing domestic growth. Total domestic sales stood at 2,32,581 units, up 27 percent year-on-year. The balanced growth across domestic and international markets provides revenue diversification and reduces dependence on any single geography.

On a cumulative basis, Bajaj Auto recorded sales of 46,72,290 units between April 2025 and February 2026. This represents a 9 percent increase compared with the same period in the previous financial year. Exports have been a key contributor to year-to-date performance, while domestic sales growth has remained steady.

The February sales performance reflects broader recovery trends in the Indian two-wheeler industry, supported by improved rural demand, stable financing availability and replacement buying in urban areas. Strong export numbers also indicate demand stability in key international markets.

For investors and industry observers, the data reinforces Bajaj Auto’s position as one of India’s leading two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturers. Consistent month-on-month performance will remain critical as the company enters the final quarter of the financial year.

As sales momentum continues, attention will now shift to how the company sustains growth through product strategy, export expansion and market positioning in the coming months.
