February 5, 2026

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has expanded its popular 125cc range with two visually refreshed special editions designed to appeal to style-conscious buyers in the commuter segment. The Honda portfolio now includes the Dio 125 X-Edition and the Shine 125 Limited Edition, combining proven performance with standout aesthetics and premium finishing touches.

Sporty Persona for the Scooter Segment

At the forefront of the scooter launch is the Dio 125 X-Edition, positioned as a sportier and more expressive version of the regular Dio 125. The X-Edition brings bold dual-tone colour schemes with contrasting decals and vibrant alloy wheels, setting it apart from the standard variants. Despite the fresh exterior, the scooter retains the familiar 123.92 cc air-cooled engine, delivering around 8.1–8.3 PS of power and 10.5 Nm of torque through a smooth automatic transmission, making it well suited for city commuting.

Inside, the scooter continues to offer a premium feature set already appreciated by many riders, including a TFT digital instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, a USB Type-C charging port, an idling stop-start system, and practical daily conveniences such as an external fuel filler.

The X-Edition is priced at ₹87,733, positioning it competitively for riders seeking added visual flair without compromising on reliability.

A Classic With an Upmarket Twist

On the motorcycle side, the Shine 125 Limited Edition brings a fresher, more premium appearance to Honda’s well-established commuter motorcycle. Priced at ₹86,211 (ex-showroom, Delhi), this special edition is based on the top-end Shine 125 Disc variant and differentiates itself through distinctive cosmetic upgrades.

Rather than introducing mechanical changes, Honda has focused on enhancing visual appeal with new colour options, exclusive graphics, and specially finished alloy wheels, while retaining the proven engine and drivetrain.

Why These Editions Matter

Although neither model introduces fundamental technical updates, their launch highlights Honda’s strategy of keeping mass-market products fresh through design-led updates and limited-run editions. In an increasingly competitive 125cc segment, such versions help renew buyer interest and allow established models to remain relevant against similarly priced rivals.

By emphasising style and individuality, Honda’s latest offerings aim to connect with urban riders who value personal expression alongside everyday practicality, whether through the sporty character of the Dio 125 X-Edition or the refined presence of the Shine 125 Limited Edition.
