Royal Enfield reported total sales of 100,905 motorcycles in February 2026, registering an 11 percent year-on-year growth compared with 90,670 units in February last year. The performance is significant for India’s premium two-wheeler segment, where Royal Enfield remains a dominant player in the mid-size motorcycle category.
Domestic sales were the primary growth driver. The company dispatched 91,248 units in the Indian market during February, reflecting a 13 percent increase over the same month a year ago. The rise indicates sustained demand for Royal Enfield’s core motorcycle portfolio, particularly in the 350cc and mid-capacity segments.
In contrast, export volumes were slightly lower year-on-year. Overseas shipments stood at 9,657 units during the month, compared with 9,871 units in February last year. While exports saw a marginal dip, the strong domestic performance more than offset the decline.
For the financial year-to-date period from April 2025 to February 2026, Royal Enfield recorded cumulative sales of 11,26,325 units, marking a 24 percent increase over the 9,08,879 units sold in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Domestic year-to-date volumes also grew by approximately 24 percent, while exports posted a stronger increase of around 27 percent over the same period.
The company’s steady growth reflects consistent demand across its lineup, which includes retro-styled motorcycles and newer-generation models. Royal Enfield has continued expanding its product range while strengthening production capabilities to meet rising demand.
Recently, the company approved a significant investment to expand annual production capacity at its Cheyyar manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu. The move is aimed at supporting future volume growth and ensuring supply stability as demand scales up both domestically and internationally.
The February sales performance underscores the resilience of the mid-size motorcycle segment in India. Royal Enfield’s growth indicates that consumer interest in premium motorcycles remains firm despite broader fluctuations in the two-wheeler industry.
