Tata Motors has confirmed that it will unveil the refreshed Punch EV on February 20, bringing the first major update to its compact electric SUV since launch. The move signals Tata’s push to keep its EV lineup current as competition intensifies in the mass-market electric space.
The Punch EV facelift is expected to mirror several styling updates seen on the recently updated ICE Punch. Changes are likely to include a revised front bumper, updated LED lighting signatures, and minor exterior tweaks aimed at giving the EV a more contemporary look while retaining its familiar, upright stance.
Inside, the refreshed model is expected to receive meaningful upgrades. These could include a larger infotainment touchscreen, an updated digital instrument cluster, and improved cabin materials. Tata may also expand the feature list with enhanced connected-car technology and additional convenience features to strengthen value appeal.
On the mechanical front, the Punch EV facelift is expected to continue with the existing battery options, including standard and long-range variants. Performance figures and claimed driving range are likely to remain largely unchanged, keeping the focus of the update on design, technology, and comfort improvements rather than hardware revisions.
The February reveal of the refreshed Punch EV will be an important step for Tata Motors as it looks to consolidate its leadership in India’s electric vehicle market, especially in the compact and urban-focused EV segment.
