Suzuki Motorcycle India has officially launched its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-Access, priced at Rs. 1.88 lakh (ex-showroom), marking the company’s formal entry into the electric two-wheeler segment in India. Bookings have commenced at authorised Suzuki dealerships and online channels, with deliveries expected to begin soon.

Built around Suzuki’s in-house Suzuki e-Technology electric architecture, the e-Access features a 3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery that promises enhanced durability compared with conventional chemistries. Suzuki claims the scooter delivers a claimed IDC range of 95 km per charge, suitable for typical daily urban commutes.

Powering the scooter is a 4.1 kW electric motor producing 15 Nm of torque, mounted at the swingarm. The e-Access offers three ride modes Eco, Ride A and Ride B along with regenerative braking and a reverse assist function, aimed at improving city usability and efficiency.

Suzuki has introduced the e-Access in four colour options, including a new Matte Blue with Grey dual-tone scheme, and plans to retail the scooter through its network of over 1,200 dealerships across India. Suzuki is also rolling out DC fast chargers at select outlets, while portable AC chargers will support home charging.

At its launch price, the e-Access positions itself in the premium electric scooter category. Its pricing places it between models like the Simple One Gen 2 and the Ather 450 Apex, though many comparable scooters from rival brands are currently available at lower price points.
