Tata Motors has launched the 2026 Tata Punch facelift, marking the first major refresh of the micro-SUV since its debut. While the exterior has received a sharper, more modern design, the interior has seen significant enhancements aimed at boosting comfort, connectivity and overall cabin quality, bringing it closer to Tata’s larger SUVs.
Dashboard & Infotainment: Modern and Feature-Rich
The standout change in the Punch’s cabin is its larger touchscreen infotainment system. The facelifted model now offers a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen, a notable upgrade over the smaller unit in older versions. This system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, letting drivers easily connect smartphones without cables.

Right in front of the driver, Tata has equipped the Punch with a digital instrument cluster on higher trims, making crucial information easy to read at a glance with crisp graphics and clear readouts.
Steering Wheel & Controls: Intuitive and Stylish
The Punch now features a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, enhancing the premium feel of the cabin. The wheel incorporates controls for audio, cruise control, voice commands, and more, allowing for safer, hands-on access while driving.

Climate control has also moved toward a more modern layout with a touch-enabled HVAC panel (in select variants) that combines digital convenience with physical feedback.

Seating & Comfort: Space for Everyday Use
The interior promises practical comfort for passengers. The Punch continues to offer a supportive seating arrangement with sufficient headroom and legroom for both front and rear occupants, despite being a compact SUV.

Other comfort-oriented features across trims include:
- Height-adjustable driver’s seat
- Rear AC vents for improved rear passenger comfort
- Wireless phone charging
- Auto-dimming IRVM (Interior Rear View Mirror)
- Cruise control (on higher variants)
- Type-C USB ports & multiple charging options
Safety and Connectivity Tech
Tata has also beefed up the Punch’s safety and driver-assistance features. Across the range, it now includes six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and 360-degree camera support for easier parking and enhanced awareness.

The addition of connectivity tech including Tata’s iRA connected car suite gives users remote access to vehicle diagnostics, tracking, and settings through a smartphone app.
Overall Cabin Ambience
Compared to the outgoing model’s straightforward interior, the facelift brings a more refined cabin experience with improved materials, better ergonomics and a cleaner dashboard design. This aligns the Punch’s interior more with Tata’s newer models like the Nexon and Harrier, giving buyers a more upscale feel without jumping into a larger SUV.
