Kia India re-launches Inspiring Drive safety program with new Seltos SUV

January 24, 2026: Kia India has re-launched its Kia Inspiring Drive (K.I.D) program alongside the new Kia Seltos, reinforcing the company’s focus on road safety, responsible driving behaviour, and connected mobility solutions.

The re-launch, officially announced on January 24, 2026, introduces a behaviour-based driving score system that analyses real-time driving patterns and provides users with actionable insights to promote safer and more disciplined driving practices.

Accessible through the Kia Connect app, the K.I.D program evaluates driving behaviour using a three-month rolling average based on key parameters such as rapid acceleration, rapid deceleration, and sudden starts. The scoring methodology applies weighted values depending on vehicle type, ensuring fair and accurate assessment of long-term driving habits.

Kia stated that the initiative is aimed at encouraging smooth and responsible driving by providing transparent feedback to drivers. The program also incorporates community-based leaderboards, enabling Kia owners to compare driving scores and track their performance among peers, fostering healthy competition and continuous improvement.

The company plans to roll out the K.I.D program across its connected vehicle portfolio in a phased manner. Customers can access the feature by navigating to the Kia Connect app, selecting the New Services section, and activating the Kia Inspiring Drive Program.

Commenting on the re-launch, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President – Marketing and Sales, Kia India, said the initiative reflects the brand’s safety-first philosophy and its commitment to empowering customers with data-driven insights to make safer choices on the road, while also enhancing their overall ownership experience.

Kia India highlighted that the re-introduction of the K.I.D program aligns with its broader strategy of leveraging connected car technologies to improve driving standards and strengthen customer engagement across its expanding product portfolio.

With the launch of the new Seltos and the return of the K.I.D safety initiative, Kia aims to further integrate technology-driven solutions into everyday driving, supporting safer mobility across Indian roads.
