Hyundai Motor India recognised as Top Employer 2026 for third consecutive year

January 24, 2026: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has been recognised as India’s top employer for the third consecutive year, after securing the Top Employer 2026 certification from the Top Employers Institute, reaffirming the company’s strong focus on people-centric workplace practices and organisational excellence.

The recognition, officially announced on January 24, 2026, places Hyundai Motor India first among automobile manufacturers in the country and fourth overall across all industries, marking a notable improvement over its national ranking from the previous year.

The certification is based on the annual HR Best Practices Survey conducted by the Top Employers Institute, which evaluates organisations across six core human resource domains and 20 focus areas, including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, and employee wellbeing.

According to the institute, Hyundai Motor India demonstrated strong alignment between its people strategy and overall business objectives, supported by continuous improvements in employee engagement, leadership development, and inclusive workplace policies.

HMIL stated that the recognition reflects its sustained efforts to build a high-performance and inclusive work culture, with a strong emphasis on internal capability development, leadership readiness, and long-term workforce planning, especially as the Indian automobile industry undergoes rapid technological and structural transformation.

Commenting on the achievement, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said the recognition reinforces the company’s people-first philosophy and its commitment to creating a future-ready organisation that promotes equal opportunity, continuous learning, and employee empowerment.

Adrian Seligman, Chief Executive Officer of the Top Employers Institute, noted that Hyundai Motor India’s certification highlights its consistent focus on progressive HR practices, employee development, and sustainable workplace strategies, enabling it to deliver long-term organisational success.

Hyundai Motor India has been strengthening its human resource framework through structured leadership programmes, enhanced learning platforms, and employee-centric initiatives, positioning itself as a benchmark employer in India’s automotive sector.

With this latest recognition, HMIL continues to consolidate its standing as one of the most preferred employers in the Indian automobile industry, supporting its broader business growth and transformation objectives.
